Terms of service

Last updated: 2026-08-27

These terms cover two different relationships: Faxity and the business that subscribes to it, and that business and its own clients who book through a Faxity page. Please read the section that applies to you.

What Faxity is

Faxity is a booking tool for appointment-based businesses. It lets a business take an upfront deposit from clients when they book, refund or credit that deposit automatically when the client shows up, and keep it if the client doesn't. Deposits are processed through Stripe and pay out directly to the business's own connected Stripe account. Faxity never holds a business's money.

For businesses using Faxity

Every plan includes a free trial. We ask for a card up front so your subscription doesn't lapse mid-trial, but you won't be charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel from your dashboard at any time with no lock-in contract. If you cancel, your booking page stops taking new bookings and any future subscription charges stop, but Faxity does not refund charges already taken for the current billing period.

You're responsible for setting an accurate deposit amount and cancellation cutoff for your own business, and for the information shown on your booking page. Faxity displays your cutoff policy to your clients at the point of booking, and it is your policy, not Faxity's, that determines whether a client gets a refund. You're also responsible for complying with any consumer protection, payment, and data protection law that applies to your own business.

For clients booking through a Faxity page

When you book an appointment through a business's Faxity page, you're entering an agreement with that business, not with Faxity. The deposit amount, refund rules, and cancellation cutoff are set by the business and shown to you before you pay. If you cancel or reschedule outside the stated cutoff, your deposit is refunded or carried over. If you cancel, don't show up, or reschedule inside the cutoff, the business keeps the deposit, as agreed at the time of booking.

Faxity processes the payment on the business's behalf through Stripe but is not a party to the appointment itself. Questions about a specific booking, refund, or appointment should go to the business you booked with directly.

Automated messages

Booking confirmations, reminders, reschedule notices, and missed-call replies are sent automatically, not by a person, and are always labelled as such.

Service availability

We aim to keep Faxity available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service, and we're not liable for losses caused by outages, delayed messages, or third-party services we depend on, including Stripe and our SMS provider.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Faxity's liability to a subscribing business is limited to the subscription fees paid in the three months before a claim arises. We aren't liable for indirect losses such as lost bookings, lost profits, or reputational harm.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Faxity changes. If we make a material change, we'll let subscribing businesses know. Continued use of Faxity after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent to the business you booked with, or to Faxity directly through the contact details on your dashboard.
